Our Story
From Maun to the World: The Story of Bots Quality Baskets
Every basket we create carries the warmth of our hands, the rhythm of our culture, and the spirit of Botswana’s craftsmanship.
Meet Our Founder — Ms. Thitaku Kushonya
“Bots Quality Baskets was founded by Ms. Thitaku Kushonya, a passionate artisan and trainer from Maun, Botswana. With decades of experience in traditional weaving, she has dedicated her life to preserving the cultural heritage of Botswana’s baskets — symbols of beauty, patience, and resilience.”
“What started as a small community workshop has grown into a thriving network of women artisans across the Okavango region. Together, they weave not only baskets, but also hope, empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods.”
Each basket tells a story — a story of women rising together through art and tradition.
